- Create a free account or continue as a guest
- Enter your service address and describe where work will be done
- Choose your project start date — utilities need at least 3 business days to respond
- Utility companies will come out and mark any underground lines
- Save your ticket number and have it ready when we arrive

Wisconsin Projects: Contact Diggers Hotline Before We Start
If your property is in Wisconsin, the process is the same idea — different system. Wisconsin Statute 182.0175 requires everyone to contact Diggers Hotline before any digging or excavation, including homeowners. Failure to do so means you may be held financially responsible for any utility damage.
How to submit your Wisconsin locate request:
- Go to diggershotline.com or call 811 (or 800-242-8511)
- You can contact Diggers Hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online or by phone.
- Select "Homeowner" and provide your name, phone number, and property address
- Describe the work area and the type of work being done
- Weekends and state legal holidays do not count as working days — plan accordingly.
- You'll receive a ticket number, which is your legal proof of contact. You must wait three working days before digging begins.
Important Details:
Do not assume your responsibility ends after submitting the request. Verify you received a confirmation email with your ticket number. If you don't receive it, you are not clear to dig.
Note on Timing: Wisconsin gives you 10 calendar days from your project start date to begin work. If your project is delayed past this window, you will need to submit a new locate request.
